In addition to our weekly fresh deals, The Merc Co+op is proud to offer even more ways to save with discounts for all shoppers + exclusive deals for co-op owners.
Coupons
We offer bimonthly coupons through NCG. You can get all of these great deals through coupon tear pads in the store. Coupons are just one of the ways you can save money at the co-op. Look for Fresh Deals and Co+op Deals and our everyday low price Co+op Basics items throughout the store.
One coupon variety per purchase or as noted on the coupon’s fine print.
Paper coupons must be turned in at the register for redemption.
Owner Discounts
Owner discounts include owner-specific savings during our twice annual Owner Appreciation Days, which are within the months of April and October. At that time, owners save 20% on one shopping trip.
One coupon use per owner number.
Offer applies before tax. Not valid with any other offers or discounts. May not be used to purchase nontaxable items, alcohol, catering orders, special orders, gift cards, class gift certificates or ownership shares.
Offer good only during Owner Days. No rain checks.
Case Order Discounts
Co-op owners purchasing special case orders receive a 10% discount. Special orders can be made in store or by phone.

Senior Owner Discounts
The Merc Co+op is pleased to offer a 5% discount to senior owners aged 62 and up each and every Tuesday. We are proud to be one of the only grocery stores in town that offer a discount to seniors as well as shoppers on a limited income. Stacking Coupons and Discounts
We want our owners and shoppers to maximize their savings and for the co-op to maintain a sustainable discount strategy and budget.
Co-op issued coupons are not valid with any other co-op offer, coupon or discount (senior, employee, etc.). Co-op coupons will bear the co-op’s official logo.
Manufacturer issued coupons (like those found on tear pads throughout the store) are valid with any other co-op offer, coupon or discount.
MercShare Ownership and Discounts
Food for all.
At The Merc Co+op, we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy, high-quality foods and products that support a robust and sustainable local food economy as well as a community based on hospitality, generosity and care for the environment.
As a consumer-owned co-op we welcome all community members to buy a share in the business and actively engage in the democratic business model. To further encourage and assist in that, the MercShare+ program was designed, allowing us to reduce the cost barriers to ownership and healthful eating, and to provide owners with practical solutions that don’t sacrifice their values or their budget.
Co-op shoppers currently enrolled in Food Assistance Programs administered by the state of Kansas or Missouri are eligible for the MercShare ownership subsidy; and, co-op owners are eligible for MercShare+, a 10% discount on all fresh purchases, such as produce, meat and seafood, dairy, bulk and bread.
