Lawrence Community Shelter

At the Lawrence Community Shelter (LCS), we provide year-round emergency shelter and essential services to adults experiencing homelessness in Lawrence and Douglas County. As the only 24/7 shelter in our community, we offer meals, showers, hygiene supplies, and a path toward stability. In 2024, we provided 37,830 bed nights, served 65,665 meals, and helped 73 individuals transition into permanent housing. Your support funds vital resources like meals and hygiene supplies, costing just $5 per person daily. Together, we can provide hope and stability for those on their journey to a brighter future.
