Join us for a hands-on outdoor experience where you can connect with nature, help restore local ecosystems and discover how native plants can become part of delicious, healthy meals! This family-friendly event invites participants to learn about foraging local native foods while enjoying the great outdoors. Courtney Masterson and Ryan Riedel of Native Lands Restoration Collaborative will lead the walk, guiding visitors to edible plants and assisting with sustainable gathering. We’ll help care for the landscape by depositing native grass seed, as well. We recommend dressing for walking through tall grass, in full sun. Bring a gathering basket/bag and a notebook for storing materials and information, if you'd like!
