Tommee’s Primavera Black Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Forbidden Rice (Substitute Wild Rice or Wild Rice Blend)

  • 1 1/2 cup fresh or frozen peas

  • 7 green onions or chives or a combo of both

  • 2 cups fresh Morel Mushrooms or Shitake Mushrooms

  • 1 cup or more fresh Spring greens slat and pepper to taste

    Cook the rice with 2 1/2 cups water or more. When almost done, add frozen or fresh peas, chopped greens, and sliced green onions. While rice is cooking, slice the mushrooms and saute in a little oil. Add to cooked rice mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
